All Human beings have a natural propensity towards objects and actions which are out of reach. We all sin and have earthly desires to satisfy ourselves. Only with the grace given by Jesus Christ's death on the cross can we walk through life regulating our actions according to His standards through the heavenly spirit within us.
We have all seen local, hot news where bandits break in and ransack a local bank or supermarket. These men or women are driven entirely by their overbearing, fleshly desires for instant cash. Becasue they have chosen to disregard their Creator and His will in thier lives, they have, inevitably, allowed corruption to seep in.
However, there are numerous upright people around us who do not go about their day in pursuit of their own comfort or fame. My grandpa, though, not a man known for charitable works or services is understood to be more humble and self-less than anyone I can mention. It is not his actions or endevours that give him this reputation, but the way that others view him. They can see that the the Holy Spirit is alive and working in his life to the extent where his own wants and pursuits are laid down as sacrifices.
Though there are many on this earth who can be recognized for their moral and ethical actions, only a few of these are truely driven by a thirst for God. These are the only people who can be given credit for following their inner consciences for without the help of the Holy Spirit we would all be fallen to the motives of selfishness.
